Dice explained
Hey guys, ok here I'm going to explain or at least attempt to explain how the dice system will work. with a example and after I will explain what happened based on the rolls I get lol.
So say while you're roaming the halls of the school and you hear a noise so you attempt to hide. Hiding would be one dice roll.
If you use a magic ability you will roll as well to see if it goes through or not.
The last is the saving throw to see if you take sanity damage or not.
I'll now roll the dice of each respective attempt and explain what would happen based on your rolls.

Re: Dice explained
Now to explain the rolls above.
With the sneak roll you normally would fail at this point as you rolled a three however it's very close to passing so sometimes you still might hide successfully depending on how far away the danger is. This could also be a passing score if you have a modifier that adds to your roll.
With the magic ability roll you pass with flying colors, there is no question with whatever you were attempting to do. I'll explain what would happen based on the lower rolls. A 1 or 2 would mean you definitely fail, it could even backfire on to you hurting yourself. Again your class might have the option to add points to your rolls to increase these.
With your saving roll you would typically fail and take damage to your sanity or health if your sanity if at a 5 or lower. As with your other rolls if you have modifiers that add to your rolls it could easily pass as well.
I hope this explains everything, if you are wondering why the rolls are so unforgiving instead of being 1-8 or 1-10 it is because this is a survival rp and most things should be focused on your survival if your rolls were always too easy or higher it would eliminate the suspense.
